Thread representation in a isometric drawing view

Thread representation in a isometric drawing view

Thread representation in a isometric drawing view

(OP)
Hey Everyone,

I am trying to show the thread representation in an isometric drawing view and it won’t come up.  I've gone into the isometric drawing view properties and selected "Thread" under the Dress up section.
Am I missing something?

Thanks

ryengnut

RE: Thread representation in a isometric drawing view

You cannot display threads in an iso view unless you actually modeled them.  I don't believe that the schematic representation works in iso view, either. (although I can't prove that)

Hello Solid7,

Thank you for your help.  I just dont understand why they would add the threads option in the display options if it is not supported in the isometric drawing view.

I think it has to do with the standard look and feel of the dialog box, and not necessarily the function itself.

I could be wrong, however...

RE: Thread representation in a isometric drawing view

It is not problem because of Isometric View. If you make a rapid part and makes 2 faces wih an angle differs of 90º. In one of the faces make a threaded hole.
Obtain a normal view to the other face in a Catdrawing and unless you tick the thread representaton in View Properties, the hole in the face wich has an angle with the normal face of the view, doesn't have any thread symbol.
