Federal Pioneer USD Relay - SKM Library File

Federal Pioneer USD Relay - SKM Library File

Federal Pioneer USD Relay - SKM Library File

(OP)
Hi,

Does anyone out there have a SKM library file for the old solid state Federal Pioneer USD relay?

If so would you mind sharing it.  I've contacted SKM to no avail searching for the file.  If the need be I can whip one up myself in SKM.  Just wanted to check if someone out there already had a made up file.  No need to reinvent the wheel.

Regards,

Elmir

RE: Federal Pioneer USD Relay - SKM Library File

I don't have that relay, so I can't share.  On the other hand, as much as I like the SKM software, I have never used a breaker or relay model that I didn't enter myself.  There are almost always some compromise necessary and I always figured it was better to know what the compromises were rather than using something someone else put together.  I do have to say though, that over time they have improved the capabilities of the models and therefore the representations have gotten better than the first devices ported over from the DOS version of CAPTOR.

I also found that I had a better understanding of the device if I took the time to enter the model into the library myself.  Found a number of errors and inconsistencies in the manufacturer provided trip curves over the time I spent putting things into the library.
