LNG turbines

(OP)
In natural gas processing und liquefaction sometimes turbines are used when the natural gas or LNG/LPG are expanded. Thus the energy can be re-used for the compression of an other stream.
Does anybody know which type/ which manufacturer of turbines is used for this purpose.
Are the same or similar turbines used for Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) processes?

RE: LNG turbines

You might search Google for "turbo expander". A lot of information to trawl through.

RE: LNG turbines

two turbo-expander mfg's are Mafi-Trench and RotoFlow. both mfg equipment used in gas processing facilities using turbo-expanders. MT also furnishes expanders driving generators as well.

good luck!
