books on aircraft design?

(OP)
hey guys, in echo with some other posts on other topics... I searched and didn't find anything on this, so I'll post about it

I'm looking for a good book that will allow me to understand the fundamentals of aircraft design without going thru all the mumbo-jumbo of deriving equations from flow models and the theoretical stuff.

Just straight equations and practical applications... hopefull there is such a thing.

RE: books on aircraft design?

AIRFRAME STRUCTURAL DESIGN by Michael C. Y. Niu is a good practical book on structures.

The Design the Aeroplane, by Darrol Stinton, Van Nostrand, 1983.  ISBN 0-442-28249-4

My absolute favorite all around airplane book.

Hope you can have your librarian find a copy for you.

RE: books on aircraft design?

Try Aircraft Design: A Conceptual Approach by Daniel P. Raymer published by AIAA.
