Bearing Capacity CBEAR

(OP)
Who got the user manaul of CBEAR.  Could you let me know if you are willing to share with me.

Another question is what is the most popular software being used now in bearing capacity analysis.

Thanks

RE: Bearing Capacity CBEAR

I do not use software to determine bearing capacity.  I usually do it by hand calculation.

RE: Bearing Capacity CBEAR

I have the CBEAR program on a floppy disk, upon which my coffee cup rests on my desk. Best use for it I could find.

RE: Bearing Capacity CBEAR

Some information on this program can be found in the USACOE document "Bearing Capacity of Soils," which can be found at

http://www.vulcanhammer.net/download/shallow-slope.php

This document also goes into the hand calculations as well.

Although my exposure to this program is limited, I wasn't too impressed by what I saw, which is one reason why I've never bothered to post it.
