Trying to find materials handling literature

Trying to find materials handling literature

Trying to find materials handling literature

(OP)
What are the names of some journals or other noteable publications that regularly publish information (studies, statistics, etc...) regarding materials handling practices? I'm currently working for a local hardware company at their warehouse and would like to have some resources for finding more quantitative information about various practices (effective use of lift trucks, efficient warehouse layouts... other things as well). I guess my problem is that I hear a lot of people who have opinions and I believe them to be true, but I would like to see some data that backs up the conclusions people are arriving at.

This may sound a bit vague, but any info you might have could be helpful in giving me some more direction.

Thanks,
Joe
