Calculating Uncorrected Voltage
Calculating Uncorrected Voltage
(OP)
I hope someone can help.
While taking some measurements on a site's automatic static var compensation system, the following instantaneous information is made available from the ASVC controller:
(a) Peak L-L Voltage
(b) Inductive Load in KVARs
(c) Total KVARs of capacitance switched ON
Question: Is it possible to calculate what the unsupported Line voltage (Peak or RMS) would have been without the KVARs of capacitors switched On, i.e. with the ASVC switched off-line?
Thanks!

RE: Calculating Uncorrected Voltage
% volt rise = kvar·XL/10/kV²
where XL is the inductive reactance of the source, kvar is the 3Ø capacitor size, and kV is the Ø-Ø voltage.

Again, Thanks!
