Within ONE AND SAME  matchcad file how to get:

a/-forces in newton

b/-length  in mm

??

I know there is an answer to define force in [m]*[g] =L^ L/T^2 = NEWTON
I want to see N instead

I am using version 2000

RE: Units

Newtons are a built-in unit.  You simply type a capital N in the units placeholder in the result.

Same goes for mm

But how to get sub-units in:

a/-  pressure in [N/mm2]  or [MPa]

b/ -   area  in [mm2]

c/- Moment of inertia in [mm4] . etc..

Thanks

RE: Units

Same thing.  MPa needs to be defined as 10^6Pa first, but can then be used anywhere in the sheet.

RE: Units

Click on a result, see the little black square to the right?  Put your desired units there.  mm, in, ft, user defined, etc.  It does the conversion by itself.

Thanks a lot
