Does anyone know the loss tangent and dielectric constant of Clear Anodize?
Thanks!

RE: Clear Anodize
First, the anodic oxide properties depend upon the anodizing electrolyte & voltage & the Al alloy. A very thin barrier coating is used for electrolytic capacitors. The most common electrolyte in the US is sulfuric acid solution, which can be used at low temperature & higher voltages to give clear hard anodize (Type III) or at 68-70oF and constant voltage to give clear Type II anodize (per MIL-C-8625F). The Al alloy also affects the oxides electrical properties, as does the sealing process.
Please give more info (Al alloy, process spec. & Type, anodize thickness, whether sealed, etc.). What is the application?
