Draft template problems

Draft template problems

Draft template problems

(OP)
A few weeks ago I discovered all my draft files take a long time to load.  I discovered the template I created contains a link to a .gif file on my server.  The server was replaced at this very date I noticed the problem and has a new name so SE searches in vain,a long time for something that is no longer there.  I can't remove link, change link or recreate server link.
I created a new draft template which works fine. However all my old drafts are suffering with my past sins.

Any ideas?  Could I change old template for new?

RE: Draft template problems

How are you trying to change/edit/remove the link ?
Have you tried Edit > Links in the draft file ?

Yes.

When I try to change link to another location SE cannot recognise .gif file I am attempting to substitute.

RE: Draft template problems

You can review the help file in Insight Connect/Revision Manager for "redefine links."  This may work.

For each draft file that load slowly, for now create a new file with that old .gif file name so SE has something to find rather than waiting to time out.  Then, in each draft, just update/remove/replace the old .gif image (I'm assuming a logo on your title block) with the new one the same way you fixed your new templates.

RE: Draft template problems

I've had the same problem. I paste and copied the template in a new draftfile, then the broken link was gone.
