Helix design

(OP)
When design a spring in V5 I have a start point and the center line. I also know number revolutions with the pitch I want
The issue is that the revolution button is grayed out and it will not let me pick it.

RE: Helix design

Helix Curve Definition

The Revolution button is highlighted when using a LAW to vary Pitch in a non-linear way - an 'S' type Law.

For a constant pitch the Height is used for the length of the spring, Height = Pitch * Number of Turns.

Check the online Help Documentation for Helix Curve.
