Does anyone have values for long-term modulus of elasticity for glass fibre filled (25%) PTFE at 100 & 200 deg C? Or alternatively short term E values and values for creep?

RE: PTFE properties at elevated temps

Well for what its worth apsix, my experience at 200 deg C is its pretty much zero. As soon as even modest pressure is applied, the glass re-enforcement just gets displaced by PTFE creep.
You should be able to find manufacturer's information on what you seek up to 100 deg C though.

Thanks
A lot of manufacturers state the max usable temp is 260 degC but I've not seen any info on creep at that temperature.

RE: PTFE properties at elevated temps

PTFE is stable to decomposition to quite high temperatures. I would have thought without checking that around 300 deg C would be possible, however PTFE is very poor to creep, it is even relatively poor at room temperature. Increasing the temp can only exacerbate the problem
