Lost sheet styles.

Lost sheet styles.

Lost sheet styles.

(OP)
Hello all,

When detailing it is sometimes necessary to put our work onto sheets larger than A0. We had created some different size standards and when using 'page setup' 'sheet style' it was possible to change the drawing frame and print area.

My problem is that the sheets we created are no longer visible. Can anyone point me in the direction of the file that informs the 'sheet style' tab so I can check that it is correct?

RE: Lost sheet styles.

I suspect that you recently upgraded from R13 (or earlier) to R14.  At R14, DS changed the way that sheet sizes are defined in the Drawing Standards files.  Check under the properties of the Sheet and see if you can find what you need there.

The Admin can fix your standards to have the sheet sizes show up again in the Page Setup panel.  They can also control what sizes are available under which standards file - and they can finally define custom format sizes!

Thanks Catiajim, good guesswork!

We actually upgraded from R14 to R15. As we no longer have an I.T specialist at the company we called in a support company to show us how to do it. After the install the support company guy then created the sheet sizes we desire in (I believe) and xml file. Everything worked perfectly and he left.

Yesterday for some reason unbeknown to me we lost the sheet options which he created, its strange because it had been fine for months and I can't think how the xml file could have been deleted or moved - perhaps it is corrupted?

To this end I was wandering if anyone knew the whereabouts of the file so I can check it's ok. I have admin rights and can also enter catia in admin mode so I feel this is something I can probably sort out, does anyone have any further suggestions?

RE: Lost sheet styles.

Look in your Environment File and see where the CATCollectionStandard variable is pointing to.  Make sure that you still have access to that directory.

Ours in on the network, and occasionally we see enough network latency that our user's can't get to it the first time.  Re-trying again or restarting CATIA usually fixes it.
