Hide/Show in CATIA V5 R14 SP7

Hide/Show in CATIA V5 R14 SP7

I am facing a peculiar problem in this version of CATIAV5 R14. Initially in the older versions, when I used the Hide/Show icon after selecting a particular assembly, all the sub-assemblies and parts also were put into show mode. But in V%R14, If I unhide the top level, only those products which were not hidden under the assembly comes into show mode, forcing me to unhide each and every component/part/sub-assembly. sometimes, this is very irritating and time consuming. Any shortcuts/commands to be changed/used?

RE: Hide/Show in CATIA V5 R14 SP7

If you hide a top level, all its children are not seen in the visualization (even if the children are still considered as shown).

In R13, with the old behavior, I was facing with the following problem.

When I've hidden a top level assembly with several child hidden, all was correctly hidden. But if I've put in Show mode the top level, the 'Hide' status ofd the children was lost ; all was in Show mode.
This is now fixed by the new behavior on R14.

Regards,
Fabien

Yup!
But that is a grat disadvantage sometimes. So is there a way I can bypass this method?

RE: Hide/Show in CATIA V5 R14 SP7

What disadvantages have you observed ?

Ah!
I usually work with multiple products, which require this hide/show. And each time, I need to unhide all the sub-assemblies, which is making my life miserable!
