Anyone know what is the recommended or required Total load deflection limit when the live load deflection limit is set at L/480, L/600 etc. Table 1604 only deals with LL defl at L/360. If any of you can point me to the right page in the code I would appreciate it.

Look for the newer codes.  In the 2004 FBC table 1604.3 limits are given D+L.  Since the new FBC is based on the IBC 2003 I would imagine the table in the IBC is similar.
