HTRI - Equipment Weight Calculation

HTRI - Equipment Weight Calculation

HTRI - Equipment Weight Calculation

(OP)
Hello,

I have found that the print outs of my HTRI Xchanger Suite 4.0 have a mistake with the equipment weights reported on the data sheet.

The bundle weight is showed in the place of "full of water weight", and the full of water´s weight is reported on the place of "Bundle weight".  Even more, the sum of the bundle and shell weight is roughly higher than the full of water weight.

Anybody has any experience with this, or any explanation?

Thanks

RE: HTRI - Equipment Weight Calculation

I just checked a couple of printouts and I'm not seeing anything unusual about the estimated weights. They match the data shown on the vendor's drawings reasonably.

The "shell weight" refers to the weight of the entire exchanger, not just the shell, so that might explain why it appears so large.

Thank you Christine,

You are right, and I was completely lost.

I checked with B-jac in one case for the same exchanger, and the shell weght reported is the complete exchanger, as you say.

Thank you very much.
