CT's and Phase Shift Correction

CT's and Phase Shift Correction

CT's and Phase Shift Correction

(OP)
I was just wondering if anyone was aware of some way to connect CT's such that I could induce a 30 degree phase shift in the current signal?

The application arose when trying to synchronise a HV bus to a LV bus that used a Dyn11 transformer. Dyn11 VT's could accommodate for the 30 degree phase shift of the voltage signal for synchronisation, however this has left me with a current that is out of phase with its respective voltage waveform resulting in an incorrect kW reading on the generator controller I'm using.

I've heard that it may be possible to connect the CT's in some kind of delta-star formation using interposing CT's however I'm not really familiar with the practice, and would like to find out how (if possible).

RE: CT's and Phase Shift Correction

Interposing CTs are only needed if both the shifted and unshifted signals are required. If not, just connect CT secondaries in delta to shift them. Effective ratio changes too.
