Cutting Polyurethane

Cutting Polyurethane

(OP)
We have 1" thick PU plates with approx a 1/16" to 1/8" metal plate in them.  What is the easiest way to cut this.  Can we use a cutter/grinder that we would use for metal?  Or is there another/better way?

RE: Cutting Polyurethane

Band saw.

Grinder will likely result in a sticky mess.

RE: Cutting Polyurethane

The original manufacture would be the best source as they probably cut it and reference it everyday.

If you have a lot of them, consider water jet.
