Multiple configurations of a specific Toolbox part + BOM

Multiple configurations of a specific Toolbox part + BOM

Multiple configurations of a specific Toolbox part + BOM

(OP)
We have been making good use of the Toolbox from SolidWorks 2006 SP1.  Our Toolbox is on a shared network drive.  We just learned about adding Custom Properties for Toolbox items, such as Manuf. P/N, RHK P/N (our company), and Material.  We also successfully used these Custom Properties in our BOM.  We then encountered a problem.

We use several versions of identical sized parts.
For example (values not real)
3/16 Narrow Washer Type B
Material | RHK P/N   | Manu P/N
-------------------------------
Copper   | 12-444-00 | 1234-Cu
Gold     | 12-444-10 | 1234-Au
Silver   | 12-444-20 | 1234-Ag

I would like to be able to drag the item from my Toolbox, select the size from that drop-down menu I've seen mentioned in posts, then select the type, and it would insert a 3/16 NWTB that would indicate the correct Material, RHK P/N, and Manu P/N on my BOM.

We only have a few parts that we would need to do this type of operation.  Most of our parts are strictly gold plated.  Let me know if you have any good ideas!  Thanks a bunch.
