Hyperlinks - Opening parts in SW

Hyperlinks - Opening parts in SW

Hyperlinks - Opening parts in SW

(OP)
I have a small 'web-site' that I have hyperlinks linking to various SW files (both parts and assemblies).

The issue I am having is that the hyperlink opens up the SW file in a new IE window. The feature tree is still there, and it looks like SW (minus the toolbars and menus), but its just IE.

How can I make the hyperlink open the files in SW, and not IE?

Thanks in advance,

phreaq
Has anyone seen my brain today? (^_^)

RE: Hyperlinks - Opening parts in SW

Fastest and easiest way if you ask me is to change the file type to *.zip files. Then Winzip will execute the file.

What I am thinking is you can't open a file using SW when you are opening it over the web so IE launchs SW within the IE window. If you don't want IE to open it with SW embedded. THen you hhave but 2 choices:

Change the file to a *.zip instead of a direct SW file.

Or

RMB the link and do a "Save as"
