I was trying to model an application where I need to model a silicone that has a slit in it. The slit is under pressure and after a certain time and temperature the slit heals / cures and blocks.

Any ideas???

Ideally what I would like to have is to be able to give some properties to the slit nodes such that they seperate at a certain force. I will set the value of this force by doing actual testing. But I wanted to know how to model a crack or a slit which will open in a rubber. I hope I am able to explain my problem here.

Kindly suggest !!!

Regards,
Ankur
