Fire pump conduit code?

Fire pump conduit code?

Fire pump conduit code?

(OP)
What type of conduit is required by code for wiring between the fire pump controller and the driver? I have heard it needs to be ridgid.I have searched NFPA 20 and not found the answer.

RE: Fire pump conduit code?

I have not been involved for many a year with NFPA regs and therefore vague on this point, however, my feeling is the all wiring should be ridgid to offer the maximum protection. Not much point having the wiring destroyed before the fire in out.

RE: Fire pump conduit code?

NFPA Fire Codes are part of the National Electrical Code.  You should comply with the Electrical Code for your locality.  See your friendly electrical engineer for the facility.
