Fatigue Factors for Press-fit shafts

Fatigue Factors for Press-fit shafts

(OP)
I'm looking for more information on the fatigue stress-concentration factors(Kf) associated with interference fits. I have a plain shaft (no shoulders in shaft near the press) that is pressed into a hub. The shaft extends beyond hub and is loaded as a cantilever in reversed bending (high cycle) and torque reversals (lower frequency).

My best source for info. on this situation is Peterson's "Stress Conc. Factors" (pgs 251-253 in my edition), which states that Kf in this case is dependent on a combination of the press fit and fretting (fretting  depends on materials used), and that Kf varies with size of parts involved. The Kf values given by Peterson are high and vary widely. Does anyone have any better information or techniques that would allow me to obtain a more precise estimation of Kf for this case? Thanks.
