Field Format in ACAD2006

(OP)
In ACAD 2006, the field command (for area of an object) has improved over the 2005 version in that it has the option to convert from square mm to sq metres by using a conversion factor. However, this has to be done every time an object is selected, and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix the conversion factor. This may not seem like much, but imagine doing areas for a series of objects and typing in .000001 every time. Anyone have any ideas? Or is it another one for the wish list?
