Decals in 2006

How do you turn off decals?  I have an assembly file with several parts that have a couple of decals on them.  These parts are not complex, and are patterned in small quantities.  I need the decals for rendering, so I do not want to detach them, but modifying mates in the assembly is painstakingly slow.  Without going through the graphics card issue and ram, etc., how do you simply make the decals not visible?  I searched the help file without any luck.

RE: Decals in 2006

Right-click on the decal in the PhotoWorks tab and select "hide".

or turn off PhotoWorks and the decals will dissappear in SW.  When you turn PW back on all the assembly settings (including the decals) should be there.

Or - in PhotoWorks System Options...check box that says "Hide decals in Solidworks"

"Perfection - a result of many mistakes."

Thanks for the help everyone, but it turns out that the decals aren't what's slowing me down.  I opened the assembly on another computer almost identical to mine, and it everything worked fine.
