SP2 is out

SP2 is out

RE: SP2 is out

Dang it, it must be buried somewhere because I can't find it.  I only see the SP2.0 EV.

SW06 SP1.0

RE: SP2 is out

Click on the download for SP1.0.  You'll see it there.

RE: SP2 is out

Yeah, this happens every time.  When it's there, you need to go to the download section to see it.  For some reason, SW doesn't post the SP availability as soon as they post the SP itself.

Thanks, Scott.

What everyone's luck with SP2.0, I've heard mixed reviews of problems.  I just went to 2006 Last week on SP0.  So far so good.

RE: SP2 is out

All of us here had issues with Toolbox not updating properly. Which caused systems to crash when inserting a second toolbox fastener. Solidworks is still looking into the issue for us but so far no fix to the problem. We ended up rolling back all the systems to SP0.0 until we here more on a fix.

However our VAR updated to 2.0 and they do not experience this toolbox issue. I also talked with others in this forum and they have not seen this issue either. I think it might be a software conflict on our side. My next plan of action is to run a free file utility that will monitor what files solidworks acesses when the error occurs.

Jon

I guess you are going to run File Monitor - that is real handy when determining what the computer is doing.

RE: SP2 is out

Yes exactly. My VAR suggested FileMon.exe

But now I have to upgrade a system to 2.0 before running FileMon. Right now I am too busy to do such a task.

RE: SP2 is out

Greetings all.

I just downloaded the SP0.0 to SP2.0 patch. (Wow, almost 89MB)  Is this an all inclusive update, or do I have to install the edrawings and help patches as well?

Thanks for your help.

RE: SP2 is out

All SP are only SW... the help and add-ins, such as Edrawings are separate DL's.

RE: SP2 is out

jksolid, did you ever find a solution to your toolbox problem.  I am experiencing the same problem, SW 2006 SP 2.0 freezes up when a second toolbox fastener is inserted.
