Hole Patterns

Hole Patterns

(OP)
I need to determine the dimensions for a hole pattern on a turret. I checked the operations manual for the lathe and they dont give the dimensions in there. I was just curious what an accurate method for measuring by hand would be?

RE: Hole Patterns

You could check hole to hole and then
from one hole to all of the other holes
to give you a reference dimensions to
lay out the pattern.  I assume the
pattern is circular.

RE: Hole Patterns

diamondjim is right on if you need the dimension. If you only need the locations to make some type of tooling to mount to the turret transfer punch the hole centers.
