Started a new job using Wildfire 2.0 and have questions
(OP)
First of all, I've used Wildfire at my last job, but not to the extent I need to now.
I am having some problems with the basic functionality that was so easy to find in Solidworks.
1.) I don't see a fstener library anywhere. Is there one available? My company has some stored on the server, but I'm looking for something more automated, where you just fill in the type of fastener, size and length, and insert it in.
2.) I dummied up a #10 SHCS, and want to use a circular pattern on another part in the assembly (taps) to base the pattern for the SHCS. Is this possible? It won't let me select it.
3.) Is it possible to use the same centerlines from one sketch for other sketches instead of creating more each time?
4.) Simliar to above... Can you creat a new feature concentric to another circle? As it is, I have ot recreate centerlines, and locate the circle on the intersection.
5.) Polygons... How can you create thm in a sketch? Solidworks allows you to select the number of sides, and size, and place it in your sketch.
6.) Is there a way to save features in a part out to a seperate part? There are some features in a machined part I'm working on that we decided would be better as seperate pieces welded together.
That's it for now...
Thanks...

RE: Started a new job using Wildfire 2.0 and have questions
2) As long as it is assembled to the first pattern instance on the flange (the one the pattern was made from), you will be able to make a reference pattern.
3) No
4) In sketcher, there are "Concentric Circle" and "Concentric Arc" options in their respective flyouts on the right of the screen.
5) Make a circle, after you've done that, right click and select "Construction" (while the circle is selected). Start the line tool, and make lines with their endpoints on the circle. Make as many as you need for the polygon. Open up the constraints dialog, select Equal Lengths, and make the lengths of the lines equal to one another. Beware of grey constraints. Delete them if necessary. WF3 has an improvement in this area (I still want my mechanism sketcher!)
6) It depends on what those features' parents are in the part. You might want to start a new part with a base feature, and then copy subsequent features into the new part. Like I said, the parent/child relationships really matter here and might not allow for this. The very best way to go about this would be to use a skeleton model.
Congrats on the new job!
Good luck

Anyway... Thanks for the help. I have more issues, but they are going to PTC as enhancement requests.
