SW2006 sp1 slow drawing opening.

Is anyone having problems opening simple drawings?  We are seeing open times around two minutes for even the simplest parts after they were converted.  Save, rebuild close and reopen does not change the times.  The task manager is not seeing a hit on memory or cpu times.  Dual xeon 3.2 2mb cache, 2 gig memory, nvidia 3400 pci express cards.  Problems started when we moved from sw2005.

Having similar problems, but not just with drawings with all files. Are you running PDMWorks?

Yes we are running pdmworks, and the problem exists with models as well, we just noticed it with drawings, we just started 2006 Monday.

My spaceball movements are very choppy as well, spinning a model with a mouse is fine.

Try doing a repair on your SolidWorks install.  (I fixed a similar speed issue that way.)  Also check the speed of PDMWorks to make sure that's not causing the issue.
