Magnetic Excitation

(OP)
I'm designing a test to measure the damping of sprayed-on ceramic coatings.  The test will use free-free beams suspended in a vacuum chamber and excited magnetically.  We will measure the response with laser vibrometry.  My question is in regards to the magnetic excitation.  Does anyone have a good system that is capable of producing a reasonably strong excitation source?  We need to operate in the 50-2000Hz range.  I've had a bit of problems finding manufacturers of electromagnets that could be used for this application.

Thanks,
Shad
