How to get the angle of a layer with Solid46 elements?

How to get the angle of a layer with Solid46 elements?

How to get the angle of a layer with Solid46 elements?

(OP)
Hi to all,

Very simple request, but I don't find the answer: I'm using the Solid46 layered element and I'd like to extract the layer angle of a specific layer, in a given element. Is there any *GET or ETAB command to do that? In other words, if the element 1 has four layers: 0/90/45/0, I'd like to get the angle of the 3rd layer of this element (that is, 45).

Thanks...

RE: How to get the angle of a layer with Solid46 elements?

Hi,

I believe the one way ist to get the number of the real set of the element n and then to get the value of the real number m in the real set:

CODE

*GET,real_set,ELEM,n,ATTR,REAL
*GET,layer_angle,RCON,real_set,RCON,m

You must know the position in the real set m. For example, If KEYOPT(2) = 0 then you will find the angle of the layer 3 on the position m=12+(2*3)+2.
For the layer 4 it is m=12+(3*3)+2.

Regards
Alex

Thanks mihaiupb! It does work. However, the 2nd "RCON" parameter in your *GET command should be "CONST".
