Burst pressure of MPVC

Burst pressure of MPVC

(OP)
Hi there,

I wish to use 40mm MPVC pipe in the engine bay of my car to channel boost from turbo.

The pressure will be 15PSI + Engine heat.

Anyone know if the PVC will handle these factors?

Cheers

Martin

RE: Burst pressure of MPVC

Martin,
You need to go to the manufacturer of the mpvc to get the properites they will stand behind.  Most manufactures have a web site you can go to if you want to find out the recommended working pressure, and how much to derate the pipe for a given temperature.

Thanks, I don't know who made the pipe but it's 3mm pipe.

40mm ID and 43 OD
