Standard hole in WF 2.0

Standard hole in WF 2.0

Standard hole in WF 2.0

(OP)
Hello.

I need help creating a standard blind hole without threads.  Is this possible?  I realize that I could make a straight hole but it would then not have the point on the end showing that it was drilled.  The only way I know how to add the point on the end would be to then add a revolve feature after I have created the hole to some depth.  Is there an easier way?

The standard hole function only allows you to take away the threads if you do something other than a blind hole.  Why is this?

Thanks for the help!

RE: Standard hole in WF 2.0

Stupidity on the part of PTC programmers.

Showing the drill point depth is critical when drill hydraulic values or mold bases.

"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

You can make a hole using SKETCHED anddraw the point, or make a UDF. I find no one really uses them anymore (i am crying right now). They are great ways to save time and standardize company designs. When I used to teach ProE, UDF's were like teaching algebra to grade schoolers-nobody understood them.

RE: Standard hole in WF 2.0

The point is that showing the pount on a hole should be standard without the need for sketches or UDFs.

I have opened an enhamcemnt request for this.

UG shows the point on all variable length holes.
