SW2006 Hole Wizard: decimals are gone!

SW2006 Hole Wizard: decimals are gone!

SW2006 Hole Wizard: decimals are gone!

(OP)
I've been running SW2006 for a couple of days now and, for the most part, I really like it. I especially like the work done on the Hole Wizard, with one exception. The decimal equivalent of the inch size drill diameters used to be diplayed in the Hole Wizard dialog box, once a drill size was selected. This is not the case anymore. The Hole Wizard "Type" tab only shows the drill size in terms of it's nominal call-out (number, letter, or fraction). I wonder if there is a setting hidden away somewhere that controls this.

RE: SW2006 Hole Wizard: decimals are gone!

I'm running SW2005 SP4.0 and what you are describing is the same for me.  Wish they would change it back.  I believe mine occurred with one of the SP upgrades...right around the time 2006 came out.  I hope its an option we can change.

auto, I'm running 2005 sp4, but I do not have that problem. I haven't heard anything on this one yet.  I'll be moving to 2006 as soon as I can get IT to upgrade PDMW at the same time (they won't let me do it..argh).

alolesen,

You can select the drill size and down at the bottom of the wizard is a drop down for custom sizes. It shows the decimal equivalent there.
