Dimensions in sketches, SW2006

Dimensions in sketches, SW2006

Dimensions in sketches, SW2006

(OP)
Wanted to know if there is a setting in SW2006 SP1 to keep the numbers of the dimensions parallel to the screen when editing a sketch.  In SW2005 and prior no matter how the sketch was rotated the numbers in the dimension stayed "parallel" to the screen.  In SW2006 the numbers stay parallel to the dimension line, sometimes you cant read them.  Is there any setting I can change?

Thanks,
mncad

RE: Dimensions in sketches, SW2006

Your right, I thought that was a little strange, but ignored it. What I do to fix the issues is press the space bar to get Orientation dialog then click *Normal To.

Try Tools > Options > Document Properties > Annotations Display & uncheck the Display items ony in the view they are created option.

I'm using SW05 & this option does not appear to affect anything, but maybe it has been fixed or activated in SW06.

Or try:
Tools -> Options -> System Options -> Display / Selection and check: Display dimensions flat to screen.

Eric,
A Star for you. That is a great answer.

There is so much to learn and so little time to learn.

I had the same issues, so I checked out the options and finally found it myself.  The new display style was bogging down my FX-500 (weird), so it had to go.
