Please,I want the steps that I would take in the design and/or operation of a pumping system to avoid the possibility of cavitation

RE: pump design

1. establish from the pump data what NPSHr in required at the design point of the pumping system.
2. calculate the NPSHa what is available from the system at the design point of the system.
3. compare the 2 sets of figures.
4. NPSHa should be in excess of NPSHr

There are numerous publications, web-sites etc that can assist with this information.
