Space Ball Lube... haha
Space Ball Lube... haha
(OP)
I needed to clean the skin on my spaceball... don't ask why... it has to do with Flaming Cheetos. I thought I might have some trouble geting the rubber skin back on the plastic ball... so I borrowed the Slick 50 One Lube from my buddy (he had a squeeky chair). I got the skin back on OK - but it slides around the plastic ball so well that I can barely rotate my models. It's getting better - probably fine by tomorrow. I just thought the rest of you could use a laugh. You're such a serious bunch...

I have an old TI 83 Plus calculator that I still use, and I dropped it in a puddle of water a couple of weeks ago. I thought is was ruined, but I took the batteries out so it wouldn't short circuit or anything. After 2 weeks of air-drying, I put the batteries back in and it works! That's $90 I don't have to spend to replace it.

The skin slid off very easy... It was pretty crusty down in there from the Flaming Cheetos. I tried getting a paper towel in there to clean it out. That was a lot easier too with the skin off.
I left a wet cell phone in my basement next to the dehimidifier & it dried out fine overnight. I have a TI-92 that's never been wet. But I'm ready...
