SW06 BOM's hosed

SW06 BOM's hosed

(OP)
I was wondering if others here are having problems with their BOM's in SW06 SP1.0.  I am using the default BOM (bom-standard) with "Top level only" checked for the BOM Type.  The balloons are picking the individual parts of each assembly instead of the top-level assembly the balloon is attached to.  I am having to overide the balloon numbers to match the BOM for now, but I would rather not have to do this.
By the way, if the columns in the BOM are left-justified, the text is butted-up against the BOM vertical lines.  I know how to increase the cell padding, but has anyone found a way to save the modifed BOM as a template and have it keep the cell padding modification?

RE: SW06 BOM's hosed

I read that the cell padding issue will be fixed with the next service pack.

As for your other issue... Open your assemblies that you want to show up as onr item in your bill. Go to the Configuration Manager, right-click the default config & select PROPERTIES. There you should find a box to check that will force this assembly to not show child components...
See if this fixes you good.

Thanks, that worked.  Just checked the "Don't show child components in BOM when used as sub-assembly".
