How do you go about dimensioning elipses in SW drawing files?

RE: Dimensioning Elipse

You can draw a construction line across the long and short axes, trimmed against the ellipse, and dimensioning the construction lines.

Thanks

RE: Dimensioning Elipse

In SW05 & later, the elipse has "quadrant" points to dimension to.

It also depends how the part is going to be machined. Some NC programs will interpolate the points required for machining, others you will have to create the points.

If you are maching a true elipse you do not have radii & centrelines to dimension.
