"Measure" question
"Measure" question
(OP)
Hi everyone
I am trying to measure some distances using the Measure feature. For example, I selected 2 edges. The tool says "Items are aparalle". Then a whol;e bunch of distances show up. Now I know that the distance is 1.5in. However, one of the entries in measure box is Normal distance 3.03in. What could that be? if 2 planes are parallel, how can the normal distance between them be different than 1.5in?
Thanks

RE: "Measure" question
Incidentally, you can see simple measurments on the status line without using the measurng tool.

RE: "Measure" question
Take a look at the delta-X, -Y, or -Z distance, then
reference the origin to see in what axis your selections
lie in. For a perpendicular measure, select a vertex and
a surface. This will be a true measure, no guessing.
