Croping Tif files

Croping Tif files

Does anyone know how i can crop a portion of a TIF file that has been inserted in AutoCAD?  I would like to keep all my work in modelspace and i dont want to have to make a viewport in order to display the section i need.  Thanks for the help

RE: Croping Tif files

Hi pbelectech,

Right click on the image and select "adjust" then "clip".  You'll get several options on the command line - just follow the bouncing ball.

Can't.  When i go to adjust it gives me a "Bitonal images cannot be adjusted" in the command line.  I'm inserting the TIF as a Raster Image.  It doesnt display properly
If i try to insert it any other way (ie. OLE object)  Any other advice? Or should i just start using viewports on the layout tabs?

Thanks

RE: Croping Tif files

Hi pbelectech,

Have you tried the command IMAGECLIP?  I've never worked with bitonal images before but I don't see anything that says they can't be clipped.

RE: Croping Tif files

IMAGECLIP will work for a TIF file. You must have clicked IMAGEADJUST.
What do you mean "..should i just start using viewports on the layout tabs?" What does that have to do with clipping an inserted image?
