We have an application for a 50%CO/50%H2 gas compressor. Are there any 'funnies' I need to watch out for?

Are flanged joints OK or does the high CO toxicness require welded pipe? Is carbon steel OK or would you need stainless or better?

I know the hazardous area will be gas group 11C for the H2 and motors etc will need to be T3 for the hazardous area.

I suppose I am more concened about the CO as its obviously very toxic....thanks for any info

RE: CO Plant

What is the compressor of discharge pressure? Mostly we use RJ type flange.
Depend on your process design temperature, you can have CS,SS, Nickel alloy.
The fluid to distant piece and crank case should use N2 purge to flare system.
