Dimensioning geometry in viewports, on paperspace.
Dimensioning geometry in viewports, on paperspace.
(OP)
Hi! It's been awhile! My current assignment is using viewports in paperspace tabs, ACAD-2002.
I'm using a template created by a drafting supervisor no longer with the company. Using the template all works OK. Still-
1. How do I (what settings...) make sure dimensions read the proper geometry length through the viewport, to create proper associative dimensions in paperspace?
2. How do I create a new viewport that reads properly, per question 1 ?
3. I have a problem with a few of the dimensions on the sheet reading correctly through the viewport, but when I zoom-extents or run a plot, the 3 dimensions in question seem to re-apply the factor to the already "factored" dimension, and report a really huge number. All formatting remans the same, but the value reported changes. There are numerous dimensions on the sheet, but only these 3 seem to be affected. I match-prop an existing dim to get them to go back to correct, but later they revert again to the incorrect value.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Dimensioning geometry in viewports, on paperspace.
2) Insert>New Layout -- it'll default in with a new viewport defined
3) Start by locking your viewport and make sure of #1. Then delete them and put them back in.
