Dynamic Analysis

Does anyone have any idea on how to use the Generative assembly structural analysis? I am doing vibration simulation, or do anyone have any books to recommend? I could find nay in the market.

RE: Dynamic Analysis

If I´m not misstaken you have to work with surfaces, add thin part attribute and material to the surface and publish it and then I think you have to set it to external view. Now you can enter GAS and do some analysis

RE: Dynamic Analysis

GAS will work with solids and surfaces.  It is not functionality that I would recommend trying to learn on your own, however.

Have you checked the On-line Documentation?  I.e. the CATIA help files?  They tend to be pretty good and have multiple example files.  If you can't find them, check with your system administrator and get them installed.

Thanks mate, still struggling to find out how it works.

RE: Dynamic Analysis

Have a look here:
http://www.sdcpublications.com/catalog.htm#FEA-CATIA

When you bring an assy into GAS you need to covert the assy constraints to analysis connections or create the connections manually.  CATIA needs to know how the parts interact.
