Mounting a removable display filter

Mounting a removable display filter

(OP)
I have a need to mount an external removable filter onto an existing display. The filter is for night time use on a military cockpit display to cut down on glare in the canopy windscreen. On and off has to be without the use of tools, meaning a handle and snap fit or securing mechanism of some source.  For example, I recall seeing a spring loaded pins that retract. The retractable pins were opposed and could be retracted with the use of the thumb and index finger. Pins retracted from holes and filter lifted up. Not really looking for that one, but an example of how easy removal should be. Any advice on source for hardware would be appreciated. I haven't designed much in the last few years, so not knowledgeable on sources. Thanks!

RE: Mounting a removable display filter

The things you describe in your example sound like "pip pins".  A google search on that might get you started - and once you've found suppliers you can see what else they do.
