Oxygen pipes minimum safety distances

Oxygen pipes minimum safety distances

Oxygen pipes minimum safety distances

(OP)
Hi people!

Anyone knows if there is some code or standard that determinated a minimum distance between gaseous oxygen pipes and other products pipes or structures?

Thanks in advance,

Letic

RE: Oxygen pipes minimum safety distances

I'm not aware of a rquirement in any NFPA standards, the 2003 International Fire Code or ASME B31.3

RE: Oxygen pipes minimum safety distances

I'm also not aware of these requirments, what I can tell you is that in our plant, low pressure (200mbar) runs next to other pipes and structures etc.
The mid and high pressure (8bar and 20 bar) also run next to eachother and next to other product pipes

Good Luck

It depends on the city you are in.  Here in Seattle, the hazardous material fire codes state a minimum distance of 15ft between oxygen and flammable materials.
