One of our suppliers is using SW 2006 and we are using SW 2005. When they send us a model, obviously we cannot open it. The solution is to have them convert their model into another format such as IGES or ParaSolid. Is there any format that is better to use in terms of keeping the geometry for measuring?

RE: Best format

ParaSolid is usually the safest choice.

RE: Best format

I ditto CBL, parasolid all the way.

RE: Best format

When using 2 CAD systems that are built on the same technology is stupid to stray away from that... SW and SE are both built on the Parasolid Kernel.

So it's just smart to continue to use that and use "Parasolid".
