Try the AWS Filler Metal Comparison Charts.

RE: submerged arc wire comparisons

The best place to compare filler metal properties is the manufacturers specification for the material. Lincoln electric has a website that posts all of their material specicications. The short route is to contact a local supplier, or representative. They will give you exactly what you are loking for, and usually some of the best service available.

RE: submerged arc wire comparisons

Right now i am working on Narrow groove welding of Carbon Steel (SA 516 Gr. 70) for 100 mm and above.
I donot want to go for Backing strip method. Hence prefer the Back gouging method.

Wanted to know from where can i get the Groove design detail and the consumable detail along with the current and voltage , speed settings for the same.

RE: submerged arc wire comparisons

Once again the manufacturers specifications for the specific filler metal will be your best resource. I highly recommend a visit to Linclon electrics website. Brouse around the filler metal specifications and see how the parameters are detailed. This is the bread and butter of WPS parameters right there.

RE: submerged arc wire comparisons

If you haven't already called Lincoln, I also, suggest you do so.  I'd ask for Lon Yost with Tech support.
