Open JT Document without JT2Go?

Open JT Document without JT2Go?

Open JT Document without JT2Go?

If I drag and drop a .jt file to a PowerPoint document, and email this file to someone, which have Microsoft Office but not JT2Go, would they be able to open the PowerPoint document, and pan, zoom or rotate the .jt model?

RE: Open JT Document without JT2Go?

I think you need the JT2Go software loaded, to work as a "plugin" for PowerPoint, at least that's my understanding.

Everything should be designed as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Dave:

That seems to be the case, but if the receiving party have JT2GO loaded, they are better off opening the .jt file in JT2GO instead of PowerPoint (more functionality).  I do not see the benefit of sending someone a .jt file embedded in PowerPoint, if they need JT2GO loaded anyway.  Thank you for you response.

RE: Open JT Document without JT2Go?

You could add a description, assembly instructions, photos, etc., in the PowerPoint, or Word document, along with the JT data.  That way everything is bundled in one file for the receiving party.
