How do engineers manage energy

RE: energy

It depends on the type of engineer, but, in general, I think that we all manage energy as a merchandise to be got fron Nature and that can be elaborated or transformed, transported, distributed, purchased and sold, to, finnally, be utilized and consumed. All whith a maximum of efficiency and at lower costs, contamination included.
For Electric Power Engineers, electric energy unit is the kilowatthour (kWh) equivalent to 3.6 MJ (megajouls)

RE: energy

By manageing money.  On defination of a good engineer is that he or she can do somethinf for $1 that anyone else can do for $2.  Look at all the things around you that are cheaper and better ( or that weren't even here then ) than they were 10, 20, 30 or even a hundred years ago.  Engineers did that.
